“New” Family

Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure to meet my maternal grandmother for the first time. I’m adopted and found my birth mother a couple years ago but had not yet met others in the family in person. One of my Aunts was flying back from Hawaii (where I now have 5 aunts and uncles living – very cool) with Grandma Irene and took a few extra days to spend some time in Colorado.  We had a great afternoon/evening yesterday and will be spending the bulk of today together in Fort Collins this afternoon and evening.  Including attending my daughter Tobin’s dance recital this evening.

Here are a couple pictures from last night.

Video from Yesterday’s Tweetathon2009 with Joel Comm

There were some technical challenges during my interview with Joel Comm during yesterday’s tweetathon2009 event. In the first video I’m talking about the Fuel The Spark book and in the second we discuss some of the legal issues to keep in mind while using Twitter.com (follow me @kevinhouchin) that are included in the chapter I wrote for Joel Comm’s new book Twitter Power.

The tweetathon created some internet history and raised over $10,000 for Water Is Life.

Feedback on Opportunity from Crisis

Hi Kevin,
Read your Feb 2 blog post. Absolutely concur. I’ve been sharing with people that we are about to witness the largest launch of new businesses in decades. Too many people looking for jobs that will take months to land. Thousands will choose to never have a boss again (I was one of those folks, and have now been on my own for over a decade).

Thanks for your message.

Best,

Nancy Fox
