New Clients

I’ve not posted under the “New Clients” category lately, but not out of a lack of great new clients coming into the firm. Many of my new clients are in start-up mode, with confidential stuff happening, so I’ve not been able to share.

The great thing is the range of creative stuff happening, from software initiatives, to bio-technology, to metaphysics, lifestyles, novelty gifts, all the way to real estate development, health-care service providers, and international import companies. It’s really great to live along Colorado’s front range and in a great arts and technology community like Fort Collins.

We’ve opened almost 70 new client files in 2007, so you can tell the business of creativity is alive and growing in Fort Collins.

Can’t make this stuff up…

I just got off the phone with a new client who is setting up a company and Web site in the scrapbooking niche. I asked if the .com name she has in mind is available. She said it was taken. I asked who had it. She hadn’t checked.

So, we both looked.

Male Homosexual Porn!

Luckily, the domain is for sale for a semi-reasonable figure.

Like I said, I can’t make this stuff up. 🙂

More New Clients

It’s been another great month of working with creative people and businesses.  Several of the new clients this month are start-up companies that I’m helping with business formations (ranging from another new record label all the way to a company that plans to build and manage ethanol plants and work in other areas of alternative energy production).  I’ll post links to their Web sites when those sites are live.  Some of the new clients include:

Excelsior Software – the leading provider of iassessment management solutions for schools systems.

Country Creations – a leading provider of braided bread products.

Fay Jean Hooker – a very talented fine artist creating “wooden quilts.”

Jake and Me Clothing Company – creators of plus- and tall-size maternity and nursing clothing (regular and petit sizes too…).

Designing Beauty Academy – a new beauty/cosmetology school in Greeley, CO.

Heidi Duran – a very talented songwriter in Denver.

A great big THANK YOU to all the new clients and a special thanks to the people who referred these wonderful people to me.

New Clients

I haven’t been posting very much lately because I’ve been swamped. Fun stuff.

Here’s what I’ve been up to in the last week or two:

  1. Settled a lawsuit relating to a dispute over some software development.
  2. New client: Optimal Entertainment (business formation, operating agreement, entertainment law contracts – recording artists).
  3. New client: A Lily Production (business formation, entertainment law contract – modeling).
  4. New client: UrbanQuail Entertainment (entertainment law contracts – artist representation.)

I LOVE new clients. It’s so much fun to see what people are doing and help them reach their goal. I also like making new friends – especially with creative people. It’s such an energy pump.
I have also been asked to write a monthly column in Scene Magazine on topics relating to arts and entertainment law. Watch for the first installment next month.
