Energy

You gotta love the artistic energy flowing in Fort Collins right now. This weekend is the New West Fest, with all kinds of arts events scheduled. (And my Business of Creativity workshop tomorrow at MoCA from 2-4pm.).

Next weekend is the TriMedia Film Festival. There are some great films to see and some nice parties planned. Tickets are on sale now. Check the site for details.

The following weekend (Labor Day Weekend) brings the start of the CSU football season with the annual Ag Day celebration on Saturday.

Then one of the nicest and most unexpected treats of the Fort Collins area happens on Sunday, September 3rd: The Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department/Richard Schmid Fine Art Auction. This is really a great day that honestly celebrates community and some wonderful art.

If you’re into Motorcycles, the Thunder in the Rockies rally is happening over Labor Day weekend too.

Finally, you can enjoy the 4th Annual Native American Music Festival that Sept 1st and 2nd.

It’s a good time to live in or visit Northern Colorado…

New Clients

I haven’t been posting very much lately because I’ve been swamped. Fun stuff.

Here’s what I’ve been up to in the last week or two:

  1. Settled a lawsuit relating to a dispute over some software development.
  2. New client: Optimal Entertainment (business formation, operating agreement, entertainment law contracts – recording artists).
  3. New client: A Lily Production (business formation, entertainment law contract – modeling).
  4. New client: UrbanQuail Entertainment (entertainment law contracts – artist representation.)

I LOVE new clients. It’s so much fun to see what people are doing and help them reach their goal. I also like making new friends – especially with creative people. It’s such an energy pump.
I have also been asked to write a monthly column in Scene Magazine on topics relating to arts and entertainment law. Watch for the first installment next month.
